Chef Brody Paine catered our daughter’s wedding this July and people are still telling us a month later that the food was “superb,” “best meal they ever had at a wedding,” “absolutely magnificent dinner,” “incredible fish and lamb," and they are so right! The delightful canapés, which were served along with iced French champagne, included Smoked Salmon Croute, Masala Chicken Cup, Peruvian Ceviche, Stuffed Herbed Mushroom Caps, and Pissaladiere Tomato Olive Tart. The Reception Dinner was truly outstanding. One guest said that usually the bride and groom hardly eat anything, but it was definitely not the case at our wedding....the food was so fresh and delicious that the happy couple couldn't resist! Each table was served generously laden platters of Sablefish, Roast Salt Spring Island Lamb, Seasonal Local Vegetables, and Roasted New Potatoes along with a choice of red and white wines. And then the pièce de résistance was the wedding cake, which was Mascarpone Carrot Cake that melted in your mouth. The servers were lovely and everyone remarked at how friendly and helpful they were. Brody Paine was very easy to work with. He suggested innovative dishes and local produce and also welcomed our ideas and thoughts. He kept to his budget and to the timeline. If I could give a six star rating, I would! Our family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to Chef Brody Paine and to his staff for their considerable contributions to making the wedding so special and memorable.”
